2009 doodle:

For Google's contest: [link]
Theme is "If I could do anything...I would."

As far as references, I googled some pictures of sunsets, earths, palmtrees, buoys, whales, and seabirds.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Official title I sent in was "Connection."
If I could do anything, I would connect the world to nature with my art, the way google connects the world with the internet.
This year, the submission process went smoothly. I wish for the best. I'll post a link up when semifinals are chosen, and then you can vote for the national winner. :)
I don't think my theme was as good as last year's, but I like it very much.
Wow, this may be an older picture, but it is still simply quite stunning!
Vision: I'd give you a 4.5 for this just because it really reflects on your idea of connecting the world to nature via art. I looked at it and immediately thought of nature.
Originality: As beautiful as it is, I can't completely call it original, since it does incorporate lots of common naturalistic objects. However, your usage of them and incorporation into the Google logo is, so again, a 4.5
Technique: You technique is amazing! The way you capture the light in the water, to the clear imagery. I only didn't give you a full 5 for this bit was because everyone can always improve in technique.
Impact: While it's really pretty and does send a clear message, it doesn't have that "oomph" of a message that really strikes home. Hence the 4.
